Spiced Holiday Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Soft, room temperature unsalted butter (1 cup/226g).
02 - Confectioners' sugar (1/2 cup/57g).
03 - Pure vanilla (1 teaspoon).
04 - Table salt (1/2 teaspoon).
05 - Powdered cinnamon (1 teaspoon).
06 - Powdered ginger (1 teaspoon).
07 - Freshly ground nutmeg (1/2 teaspoon).
08 - Aromatic allspice (1/4 teaspoon).
09 - Fragrant cloves (1/4 teaspoon).
10 - Dark molasses (1 tablespoon).
11 - Plain flour (2 1/4 cups/279g).
12 - Extra confectioners' sugar for coating.

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven hot at 350°F. Put some parchment on your cookie trays.
02 - Whip the butter till it's light and airy, roughly 20 seconds. Throw in the confectioners' sugar, vanilla, salt, all your spices, and that molasses until everything's well combined.
03 - Add the flour and keep mixing. Don't worry when it looks all crumbly at first. Just keep going until it sticks together nicely.
04 - Drop tablespoon-sized lumps of dough onto your lined trays.
05 - Stick them in the oven for 10-12 minutes until you can see a bit of brown on the bottoms.
06 - Let them cool a bit, then roll them while still warm in confectioners' sugar. After they've cooled completely, give them another roll in sugar.

# Notes:

01 - Your dough will seem too dry and fall apart before it finally comes together.
02 - The second sugar coating makes them look prettier and taste sweeter.
