Apple Fritter Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/3 cup and 2 tablespoons apple juice or cider.
02 - 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla.
03 - 1 1/2 cups peeled, diced Honeycrisp apples.
04 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
05 - 1 1/2 cups regular flour.
06 - 2 cups powdered sugar.
07 - 2 teaspoons baking powder.
08 - 1 large egg.
09 - 1/4 cup white sugar.
10 - 1/4 cup unsweetened butter.
11 - 1/2 cup plain applesauce.
12 - 1/2 teaspoon fine kosher salt.
13 - Nonstick cooking spray.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F and let it heat up.
02 - Coat your baking tray lightly with nonstick spray.
03 - Stir together the flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
04 - Melt the butter, then whisk with applesauce, vanilla, sugar, and the egg.
05 - Blend the moist and dry mixtures gently, then fold in the diced apples.
06 - Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the tray and bake for 10 minutes.
07 - Stir powdered sugar and cider until it’s smooth and runny.
08 - Switch to the broiler, brush glaze over fritters, broil 2-4 minutes while turning pan every minute, then coat again and cool for 15 minutes.

02 - Don’t walk away while broiling since burning can happen fast.
