Easy Thanksgiving Turkey (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Turkey, 12 to 18 pounds.
02 - 1 lemon, quartered.
03 - 1 onion, quartered, for stuffing.
04 - Fresh thyme, rosemary, and sage.
05 - Pepper and salt.
06 - 3/4 cup butter, softened.
07 - 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped.
08 - 1 teaspoon salt.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
10 - 1 teaspoon chopped thyme.
11 - 1 teaspoon chopped rosemary.
12 - 1 onion, quartered, for roasting.
13 - 2 big carrots, chopped.
14 - 3 celery sticks, large cuts.

# Instructions:

01 - Leave the turkey out for an hour to warm. Pull out the insides.
02 - Set oven at 325°F. Pat turkey dry. Stuff inside with onion, lemon, and herbs after seasoning it.
03 - Combine soft butter with garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
04 - Gently slide butter mix under the turkey skin.
05 - Spread the rest of the butter mix over the outside of the turkey.
06 - Lay the turkey on a rack or on top of the veggies.
07 - Bake for roughly 15 minutes a pound until the temperature is 158-160°F. Cover it up if it darkens too quickly.
08 - Wait 30 minutes before cutting into the turkey.
09 - Keep the juices in the pan for making gravy later.
