Green Beans with Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Fresh green beans with ends cut off (500g/1 lb).
02 - Olive oil, divided (2 tablespoons).
03 - Minced garlic cloves (2).
04 - Table salt (1/2 teaspoon).
05 - Ground pepper (1/2 teaspoon).
06 - Crunchy panko crumbs (1/3 cup).
07 - Shredded parmesan cheese (1/3 cup).

# Instructions:

01 - Warm up your oven to 220C/425F or turn broiler to high with the rack about 30cm/12 inches down from the top.
02 - Dump beans onto tray, splash with 1 tablespoon oil, add garlic, salt and pepper. Mix everything together.
03 - Put beans in neat rows on the tray, making sure they're snug against each other.
04 - Scatter breadcrumbs first, then parmesan on top. Drizzle the rest of your oil over everything.
05 - Pop in oven for 15 minutes or under broiler for 8 minutes until the cheese turns golden brown.
06 - Lift carefully with a spatula onto a serving plate and eat right away.

# Notes:

01 - Pre-packaged grated parmesan works fine, but if using freshly grated, you'll need twice as much.
02 - Frozen green beans work too, just make sure they're thawed and patted dry.
03 - They taste best when eaten right away while still crunchy.
