Tangy Orange Chicken Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 5-6 chicken thighs with skin and bones intact.
02 - 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon table salt.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper.
05 - 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped.
06 - 1 big shallot, chopped into cubes (1/3 cup).
07 - 2/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice.
08 - 1 cup broth made from chicken.
09 - 1 tablespoon grated orange peel.
10 - 1 1/2 tablespoons pure honey.
11 - 1 tablespoon vinegar from apple cider.
12 - 1 cup fresh cranberries, with 2 tablespoons set aside for topping.
13 - 1/2 orange, cut into thin rounds.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F. Sprinkle salt and pepper all over the chicken pieces.
02 - Put chicken in hot oiled pan for about 4-5 minutes each side until it turns golden brown. Set aside on a dish.
03 - Throw in shallot and garlic, cook for 4-5 minutes. Pour in all wet ingredients, add honey and berries. Let bubble for 8-10 minutes till it gets thick.
04 - Put chicken back in the pan with leftover berries and orange pieces. Pop in oven for 15-20 minutes until meat temp hits 165°F.

01 - Make sure your pan can go in the oven.
02 - Raw cranberries give the best flavor.
03 - Try swapping honey for some maple syrup if you want.
