Heat your oven to 350°F. Coat a baking dish or pan with cooking spray, or just cover it with foil to make cleanup a breeze.

Blot the sausages with paper towels and wrap each one in a bacon piece. Stick a toothpick through to hold it together.

Dump the brown sugar into a big plastic bag. Toss in a handful of your wrapped sausages and shake them around to get sugar all over. Put them on your pan and do the rest in batches.

Sprinkle some fresh ground black pepper over your sugar-coated sausages.

Pop them in the oven for 30-35 minutes till the bacon turns brown. Want crunchier bacon? Switch to broil for a couple minutes at the end.
