Sugar Bacon Smokies (Print Version)

01 - Mini smoked sausages, one 16 oz pack
02 - Bacon strips, 1 pound, sliced into thirds
03 - Packed brown sugar, 3/4 cup
04 - Fresh ground black pepper, as needed

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 350°F. Coat a baking dish or pan with cooking spray, or just cover it with foil to make cleanup a breeze.
02 - Blot the sausages with paper towels and wrap each one in a bacon piece. Stick a toothpick through to hold it together.
03 - Dump the brown sugar into a big plastic bag. Toss in a handful of your wrapped sausages and shake them around to get sugar all over. Put them on your pan and do the rest in batches.
04 - Sprinkle some fresh ground black pepper over your sugar-coated sausages.
05 - Pop them in the oven for 30-35 minutes till the bacon turns brown. Want crunchier bacon? Switch to broil for a couple minutes at the end.
