Strawberry Bruschetta Honey (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
02 - A sprinkle of ground pepper and salt
03 - 1 fresh baguette, sliced into pieces about half an inch thick

→ Ricotta Mix

04 - 1 cup ricotta cheese, whole milk
05 - A quarter cup of basil leaves, chopped fine
06 - 2 tablespoons honey, golden
07 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (pure)
08 - ¼ teaspoon of salt

→ Strawberry Layer

09 - 2 cups strawberries, fresh and sliced
10 - 1 tablespoon of honey
11 - Fresh mint leaves (optional, for a touch of garnish)
12 - A pinch of salt (about ¼ teaspoon)
13 - 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Take the baguette slices and spread them out on your baking sheet. Add a drizzle of olive oil and season lightly with salt. Bake for 2 minutes until the edges are golden and crunchy.
02 - In a bowl, mix your sliced strawberries with a drizzle of honey and a little salt. Let everything sit for about 5 minutes. This helps the flavors mix and brings out the strawberries' sweetness.
03 - Take a separate bowl and stir together the ricotta, vanilla, salt, and honey until it becomes creamy and smooth. If you're using basil, mix that in as well to get a fresh, herby taste.
04 - Spread a nice amount of the ricotta blend on each toasted bread slice. Put some of the strawberry mix on top. Finish with a drizzle of honey, balsamic glaze, and a bit of cracked black pepper. If you'd like, add a sprig of mint for a pop of color. Enjoy while it's warm and crispy!

# Notes:

01 - Tastes best when eaten fresh, while the bread is still warm and crunchy.
02 - Try swapping the herbs—mint or thyme work great too.
03 - You can prepare the ricotta mix up to a day early and store it in the fridge.
