Steak and Mushroom Skillet (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Steak

01 - About 1 1/4 pounds of sirloin steak, diced into hearty 1-inch chunks
02 - 1 tbsp of olive oil
03 - A pinch of salt and some cracked black pepper for that first layer of flavor

→ For the Sauce

04 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
05 - 1 teaspoon of aromatic seasoning blend (Italian style)
06 - 1 cup of rich heavy cream
07 - 1/2 cup of Parmesan, freshly grated at home
08 - A generous 8 ounces of fresh mushrooms, sliced cleanly
09 - 1 1/2 teaspoons of chopped fresh garlic
10 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt

→ For Garnish

11 - Parsley, sliced finely for that fresh pop of green

# Instructions:

01 - Slice up your steak into 1-inch cubes. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Throw on some salt and pepper; then sear the steak chunks until they turn a nice golden brown.
02 - Take the steak out of the pan, then toss in the mushrooms and garlic. Let them cook down in the leftover steak juices until soft and fragrant.
03 - Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Throw in salt, pepper, and the Italian seasoning mix. Let it simmer until smooth and creamy.
04 - Add the steak back into the skillet, letting it heat back up while the sauce thickens up. Sprinkle with parsley and pair with something like pasta or rice for serving.

# Notes:

01 - This creamy, rich dish takes less than half an hour, making it ideal for busy weeknights when you still want something indulgent.
02 - For a slightly lighter version, swap out the heavy cream for half-and-half.
