Spicy Chicken Sandwiches (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 tablespoon cooking oil
02 - 1 tablespoon butter
03 - 1 onion, chopped small
04 - 1 stalk celery, chopped small
05 - 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped small
06 - 1 pound ground chicken
07 - 3 tablespoons cajun spice mix
08 - 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped

→ Sauce

09 - 1/2 cup tomatoes, crushed
10 - 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
11 - 1/2-1 teaspoon spicy sauce (if you want)
12 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
13 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
14 - 4 hamburger buns

→ Optional Toppings

15 - Cheese slices
16 - Coleslaw
17 - Sour cream
18 - Lettuce, shredded

# Instructions:

01 - Warm up oil with butter, then cook your onion, celery, and pepper until they're tender, about 7-8 minutes
02 - Throw in chicken, break it apart as it cooks. When it's been cooking for 5 minutes, mix in the cajun spice and garlic
03 - Pour in tomatoes, sugar, spicy sauce, and cream. Turn down the heat
04 - Let everything bubble gently for 15 minutes, stir now and then. Add salt to taste
05 - Warm up your buns and pile the mix on with any extras you like

# Notes:

01 - You can cook it longer or shorter depending on how runny you want it
02 - Warm the buns right before eating so they don't get soggy
03 - You might need more or less salt depending on your spice mix
