Sausage Ditalini Parmesan Bowl (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Proteins & Base

01 - 1 lb Italian sausage, meat removed from casing
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 small onion, diced
04 - 2 cloves garlic, crushed

→ Liquids & Dairy

05 - 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
06 - 2 quarts chicken stock
07 - 1/2 cup heavy cream

→ Pasta & Cheese

08 - 1 cup ditalini pasta
09 - 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

→ Seasonings

10 - 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
11 - 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
12 - Salt and pepper to taste
13 - Fresh parsley as garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oil and cook sausage until brown, breaking it apart as you go. Set aside when done.
02 - In the same pot, toss in onion and garlic, cooking until soft and smelling good.
03 - Mix in tomatoes, stock, herbs and put the sausage back. Let it bubble softly.
04 - Toss in pasta and let it cook until just right, checking the package timing.
05 - Mix in cream and cheese until smooth. Add salt and pepper, then top with parsley.

# Notes:

01 - Any tiny pasta works fine
02 - If making earlier, cook pasta on its own
03 - You can pick mild or spicy Italian sausage
