Soak the lids and jars in warm soapy water, then rinse and place them on a towel to air dry.

Crush fresh fruit and strain the liquid if you're not using pre-made juice.

In a large pot, stir butter, juice, and pectin together. Heat it until it starts boiling.

Place washed jars in hot water to warm them through.

Pour in sugar all at once. Stir it well and let it boil again. Keep cooking for 2 1/2 minutes.

Turn off the heat and scoop the foam off the surface.

Pour the hot liquid into the warm jars, leaving about 1/4 inch on top. Wipe the rims and secure the lids.

Submerge filled jars in boiling water for 10 minutes with the pot covered. Allow them to cool down for a proper seal.
