Middle Eastern Meat Skewers (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat & Produce

01 - Ground beef, lean (600 grams)
02 - Medium yellow onion (1, cut in quarters)
03 - Cup of fresh parsley (1, cleaned and dried)

→ Seasonings

04 - One teaspoon salt
05 - Black pepper (¼ teaspoon)
06 - Seven spice mix (¼ teaspoon)
07 - Cayenne pepper (⅛ teaspoon, add more if you like it spicy)

# Instructions:

01 - Toss onion and parsley into food processor and pulse until they're finely minced
02 - Put beef, onion-parsley mix, and all your spices in a big bowl and work them together with your hands
03 - Wrap the meat around skewers making strips about 1 to 1½ inches thick
04 - Put them on an oiled grill at medium-high heat, turning after 4 minutes, until they're done all the way through

# Notes:

01 - Wooden skewers need a 30-minute water bath before you use them
02 - Allspice works fine if you don't have seven spice blend
03 - You can make these into burger shapes too
04 - Don't have a grill? Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes instead
05 - They'll stay good for 3-4 days in your fridge or 3 months frozen
