Sweet Spicy Chicken Wings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Wings with Spices

01 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
02 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, freshly cracked
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
05 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt

→ Sweet & Heat Sauce

06 - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
07 - ¼ cup hot sauce, pick your favorite
08 - ¼ cup pure honey
09 - ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for some extra spice)
10 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
11 - ¼ cup brown sugar, packed

→ Toppings

12 - Cilantro, chopped fresh
13 - Green onions, sliced thinly
14 - Toasted sesame seeds

# Instructions:

01 - Ensure your wings are totally dry by patting them well with paper towels (this step is key for crispiness). Combine salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and pepper, then toss it all with your chicken until evenly covered.
02 - There are two ways to do this! Baking: Place the wings on a rack over a tray covered in foil. Bake at 400°F for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through. Frying: Heat oil to 375°F and cook a few wings at a time for 8-10 minutes. Either way, you need that golden crunch!
03 - Get a small pan and put together honey, brown sugar, hot sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and cayenne if you're using it. Put it on medium heat and stir until it starts bubbling and gets a little thick, which takes about 3-5 minutes.
04 - Toss your hot, crispy chicken wings in the sticky glaze until they're well-coated. Add sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro on top—if that's your thing!

# Notes:

01 - Make sure to dry your wings properly—it helps make them crispy.
02 - The sauce can be prepared ahead and warmed up later.
03 - Use more or less hot sauce or cayenne to control the spice level.
