Easter Nests (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 200g dark chocolate, broken into chunks
02 - 200g milk chocolate, chopped up
03 - 100g golden syrup
04 - 100g butter without salt
05 - 6-8 pieces of full-size Shredded Wheat biscuits

→ Topping

06 - 100-200g mini Easter candy

# Instructions:

01 - Crumble the Shredded Wheat into tiny pieces, place them in a large bowl, then leave it for later.
02 - In a saucepan, slowly warm up the butter and syrup. Once the butter has melted, turn off the heat and stir in both the milk and dark chocolate until it’s smooth.
03 - Mix the chocolate and syrup mixture into the bowl of crumbled Shredded Wheat. Stir well so it’s all coated.
04 - Spoon out the mixture using an ice cream scoop or two spoons, shaping small nests. Place them on a baking sheet covered in parchment, adding 3 mini Easter eggs to the middle of each one.
05 - Put the tray in the fridge and leave it there until the nests have firmed up completely.

# Notes:

01 - Only dark chocolate or just milk chocolate can be used: 350g for dark or 500g for milk.
02 - Another cereal (about 80-100g) can easily replace Shredded Wheat.
03 - These treats are good and fresh for more than a week.
04 - White chocolate doesn’t mix well with the butter and syrup in this method.
