Grilled Beef Patty Melt (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 5 tbsp sweet cream butter
02 - 2 big yellow onions, cut into thin slices
03 - 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
04 - 3 tsp avocado oil
05 - 1 pound ground beef (80/20 fat content)
06 - 6 oz swiss cheese, shredded
07 - 6 hearty slices of rye bread

# Instructions:

01 - Put onions with butter in pan over medium heat for 5 minutes with lid on. Then turn heat to low, stir now and then for 30-35 minutes until they're deep brown. Add vinegar to scrape up tasty bits
02 - Shape meat into 3 patties and add salt and pepper right before cooking. Warm your griddle to 375-400°F
03 - Add oil and cook each patty about 3 minutes on each side
04 - Spread butter on bread pieces and brown them on the griddle for 1-2 minutes each side
05 - Place cheese, browned onions and burger on top of one bread slice. Cover with another slice and it's ready to eat

# Notes:

01 - You can make everything up to 2 days early if you keep all parts separate
02 - Will stay good in your fridge for 3 days after making
03 - Don't try to freeze these sandwiches
