Penne Bacon Peas (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - ¾ pound pasta tubes
02 - 1 tablespoon extra virgin oil
03 - ½ yellow onion, chopped tiny
04 - 1 cup icy peas
05 - 6 fat strips bacon, diced small
06 - ¼ cup rich cream

# Instructions:

01 - Get water bubbling in a big pot with salt, then dump in your pasta. When cooking's halfway done, toss the icy peas into the same water. Cook everything about a minute under what the box says for a firm bite.
02 - Warm up some oil in a wide pan on pretty high heat. Toss in your tiny chopped onions and bacon bits, cooking till they're crispy but watch they don't burn.
03 - Strain the pasta and peas, then throw them in with your bacon-onion mix. Turn the heat down a bit and pour in your cream. Feel free to splash in more cream if it looks too dry.
04 - Pop it straight onto plates while it's steaming hot, and let everyone sprinkle on cheese to their liking.

# Notes:

01 - Don't wait around before eating as the noodles keep softening after cooking
02 - Goes perfectly in wide, deep dishes
03 - That old Italian saying rings true: 'You don't make pasta wait, pasta makes you wait'
