Apple Rings Cinnamon (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 average-sized apples (Golden Delicious, Gala, or Granny Smith).
02 - Coconut or vegetable oil for frying.
03 - 1 egg (large).
04 - 3/4 cup whole or 2% milk.
05 - 1 cup plus 2 tbsp plain flour.
06 - 2 tbsp granulated sugar.
07 - 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder.
08 - 1/2 tsp of salt.
09 - Optional: 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
10 - 1/3 cup sugar to coat.
11 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon.

# Instructions:

01 - In a heavy pan or cast-iron skillet, heat about an inch of oil to 365°F.
02 - Cut the apples into 3/8-inch rings, leaving the centers out. Make slices about 1/4-inch thick.
03 - Combine the cinnamon and 1/3 cup of sugar in a small bowl. Keep nearby.
04 - Stir together the egg and milk. Add flour mix and whisk until smooth.
05 - Coat apple rings in batter, then fry for 1-2 minutes until golden. Move them to paper towels to drain and coat with cinnamon sugar while still warm.
