Easy Weeknight Meatball Subs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups of pasta sauce.
02 - A big egg, beaten.
03 - 1-2 minced garlic cloves.
04 - A pound of ground beef, lean.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
06 - 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs.
07 - A half teaspoon of crushed red pepper.
08 - A tablespoon of olive oil.
09 - A tablespoon of Italian seasoning.
10 - 24 meatballs, store-bought or homemade.
11 - 8 hotdog buns.
12 - 1 1/2 cups of grated mozzarella.

# Instructions:

01 - Use a big bowl to mix the beef, breadcrumbs, garlic, egg, and spices. Make 24 little meatballs.
02 - Warm some olive oil in a large skillet. Brown all sides of the meatballs.
03 - Lower the stove's heat. Add the sauce, cover the pan, and simmer for about 15 minutes. Make sure they're cooked through at 160°.
04 - Warm up the sauce first if the meatballs are frozen. Toss them in, cover the pan, and cook for 25 minutes.
05 - Set your broiler to high. Arrange the hotdog buns on a baking sheet, close to the broiler.
06 - Place three meatballs in each bun. Top with sauce and sprinkle mozzarella.
07 - Broil the filled buns for a couple of minutes until the cheese is gooey and bubbly. Keep an eye on it!
