Brown Sugar Garlic Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs.
02 - You'll need this for the sauce:
03 - 6 cloves of garlic, finely chopped.
04 - 1/3 cup tightly packed brown sugar.
05 - 1 tablespoon of sesame oil.
06 - Optional: 1 tablespoon of hot sauce.
07 - 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon of coarse salt.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper.
10 - Finishing touch:
11 - Chopped green onions.
12 - Sesame seeds for topping.

# Instructions:

01 - In the slow cooker, toss in minced garlic, brown sugar, sesame oil, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and hot sauce if you'd like.
02 - Add the chicken thighs. Swirl them around in the sauce until they're fully covered. Make sure the skin side faces up.
03 - Cook on LOW for 7-8 hours or switch to HIGH for about 4 hours if you're short on time.
04 - Optional step: Broil in the oven for a little bit to get a crunchy skin.
05 - Sprinkle over the chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Switch to boneless thighs if you want, but shorten the cook time.
02 - You can save time by prepping everything the night before and storing it in the fridge.
03 - Skip the hot sauce if you don't want it spicy.
04 - For that extra crunchy skin, broil the chicken before serving.
