Hamburger Stroganoff Dinner (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef (lean variety).
02 - 1 small onion, chopped finely.
03 - 1 clove garlic, crushed.
04 - 12 ounces mushrooms, cut into thin slices.
05 - 3 tablespoons flour for everyday cooking.
06 - 2 cups beef stock.
07 - 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce for flavor.
08 - Salt and ground pepper as needed.
09 - 3/4 cup sour cream at room temperature.
10 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the beef with onion and garlic until completely browned, keeping meat chunks intact if possible. Get rid of excess fat.
02 - Throw in mushrooms and let them cook for 2-3 minutes, add flour and stir for another minute.
03 - Pour in stock, add Worcestershire sauce, season with salt and pepper. Let it bubble up then simmer gently for 10 minutes.
04 - Take pan off the heat, mix in your sour cream and parsley. Spoon over hot egg noodles when serving.

# Notes:

01 - Regular broth works best here.
02 - Always mix sour cream when pan is cool to stop it breaking apart.
03 - Greek yogurt makes a good stand-in for sour cream.
04 - Fresh mushrooms give the best flavor but canned will work in a pinch.
